Horror Realm Presents Bloody Valentine, a Black Tee Affair

Horror Realm offers an alternative to traditional Valentine’s Day celebrations for Pittsburgh area horror fans on February 9, 2013 at the Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South.  “Bloody Valentine” is a non-romantic horror themed, “Black Tee” event that will feature food, drink, music and games.  The party runs from 9 PM to 2 AM and is open to singles and couples 21 and over.

Suggested dress is casual, horror themed apparel.  The event is an informal opportunity for horror fans to mix and mingle with kindred spirits and gear up for Horror Realm’s Spring Break Massacre in March.

The evening begins with a comfort food dinner buffet featuring a pasta bar, salad, bread sticks and dessert station.  The buffet is open from 9 PM to 10 PM.  Snacks will be available the rest of the evening.  Guests will also receive a complimentary glass of “blood” (Sangria).  A cash bar will be available.

Music will be provided by The Muzik Machine DJ Service, with a special no-love-song breakup medley playing during dinner, followed by dance music beginning at 10 PM.

Other entertainment for the evening includes:

  • Shredathon – attendees are invited to bring a picture of their ex to put through a shredder
  • Horror trivia contest featuring questions on films with a Valentine or love gone bad theme
  • Best horror t-shirt contest
  • Door prizes

Admission is $25 per person or $45 per couple (any two people attending together).  Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.showclix.com/event/BloodyValentineParty or at the door (cash only).

The Crowne Plaza is located at 164 Fort Couch Road in Bethel Park (15241), across from South Hills Village shopping mall.  There is ample free parking on site and the hotel is approximately ¼ mile from the SHV light rail transit station.

Horror Realm has big plans for 2013 including two conventions and a horror themed event every month.  The Spring Break Massacre convention has been expanded to three days (March 15-17) and features guests Danielle Harris, Kane Hodder and George “The Animal” Steele plus an Irish Wake Party.  The 5th Anniversary fall convention will be held September 20-22.  The Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South serves as home for both shows.  Details on the year’s other events, including film nights, Zombie Luau, a horror scavenger hunt and a horror fan flea market will be released as they become available.
