The Kean Theatre, 5847 Meridian Road, is celebrating its 10th Anniversary with a season of popular concerts, hilarious interactive dinner theatre shows and award-winning plays and show-stopping musicals including “Nunsensations” which will be staged in November. Show time is 8 p.m. Nov. 10, 16 and 17. Cost is $32. The Kean Theatre is now inviting theatre goers to enjoy a delicious dinner on-site in the elegant Mount Vernon Restaurant before each show at 6:30 p.m.; cost for dinner and the show is $54. Sunday matinees will be staged at 2 p.m. Nov. 11 and 18. Cost is $30. The “Little Sisters of Hoboken” are back in this hilarious fourth installment of the successful “Nunsense” series. During the Nunsense Vegas Revue the Sisters are performing at the Pump Room in the Mystique Motor Lodge for another laugh-filled benefit. What follows is the most star-studded, sequin filled, feather dancing show not soon forgotten. The side-splitting night proves what happens in Vegas does not always stay in Vegas as Mother Superior and her talented Sisters belt out songs like “Sin City Sue,” and “Black and White with Her Money on Red.”
Reprising their roles are Debra Humphrey of Houston, PA as Mother Superior, Deena Hower of Pittsburgh as Sister Robert Anne and Gretchen Breslawski of Butler as Sister Mary Paul (Amnesia). Joining the cast are Roseann Rosnick of Brentwood as Sister Mary Hubert and Megan Flannery of Butler as Sister Mary Leo. Directing “Nunsensations” is Tom Madden the Kean Theatre’s managing and artistic director.
