The Kean Theatre, 5847 Meridian Road, is celebrating its 10th Anniversary with a season of award-winning plays and musicals, popular concerts and hilarious interactive dinner theatre shows including “Halloween Mystery Dinner Theatre” on Friday Oct. 26 and Saturday Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Kean Theatre’s on-site Mount Vernon Restaurant. The Kean Theatre is throwing a Halloween Mystery Dinner Party and they are simply dying for you to join in the fun. A spooky good time is guaranteed as those who are brave enough try to unravel the ghostly mystery and win some terror-ific prizes!
“Halloween Mystery Dinner Theatre” is written and directed by Tom Madden, the Managing Director of the Kean Theatre. Madden, who has more than 25 years of experience in front of and behind the curtain, has created, written and directed all 18 installments in the Kean’s Mystery Dinner Theatre Series. Performing in “Halloween Mystery Dinner Theatre” will be many of the Kean Theatre’s regular actors, including Tom Bickert of Evans City, Michelle LeWay of Pittsburgh, Annette Quinn of Cranberry Twp., Mike Regan of Hampton Township, Kristen Scannell of Franklin Park and Tom Smithyman of Franklin Park.
The sponsor of “Halloween Mystery Dinner Theatre” is UPMC Health Plan, the Academy sponsor of the Kean Theatre. Proceeds from the Kean Theatre benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund, which in 2011 alone provided more than $5.2 million to poor and low-income residents at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas and The Arbors at St. Barnabas.
