Pittsburgh 48 Hour Film Project 2012

Pittsburgh 48 Hour Film Project returns to The Steel City for its sixth year.

On July 20, 2012 through July 22, 2012 hundreds of Pittsburgh filmmakers will make a movie in 48 hours!

That’s right… write, shoot, edit and score a short film in 48 hours. Then see it premiered up on the big screen at The Hollywood Theater in Dormont!

The 48 Hour Film Project is going to over 113 cities spanning all six continents this year.

Who will make the best short film to represent Pittsburgh against teams from around the world vying for the title of “The Best 48 Hour Film of 2012”?

Last year, 37 teams made up of over 300 filmmakers participated in Pittsburgh and their films were shown to crowds of over 650 people.

Registration began on Tuesday,May 15, 2012.

  • Early Bird Registration is $140. Teams must register on or before Monday, June 25 to get this special rate.
  • Regular registration is $160. If teams register after Tuesday, July 10 they must pay a rate of $175.
