Kids participated in a 30-minute in-class interactive activities through which they learn about their teeth, healthy eating habits, and how to take care of their mouths.
Each student went home day with a personal toothbrush, tube of tooth paste, dental floss, and oral hygiene instructions for parents.
Dr. Kaur said “Oral health for children is crucial. And, children who have poor oral health often miss more school and receive lower grades than children who don’t”. She will be visiting other child-care centers and elementary schools as part of her oral health aware for children campaign.
