“The WPXI Holiday Parade Presented by Pittsburgh Public Schools will follow a new route on Liberty Avenue”
Superstar Celebrities, Fabulous Floats, Marvelous Marching Bands, Behemoth Balloons, and much more will all be featured during the 36th anniversary of the WPXI Holiday Parade Presented by Pittsburgh Public Schools on Saturday, November 26th. WPXI brings the Parade right into Pittsburghers’ living rooms in High Definition at 9:00 AM or Parade goers can line the sidewalks of our new Parade route on Liberty Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh to watch in person.
Recording Artist & Pittsburgh Penguins National Anthem Singer, Jeff Jimerson, will treat the crowds to a kinetic rendition of “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” and Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler, the multi-talented stars and sisters from the Lifetime reality series “Dance Moms,” will make an appearance. Pittsburgh native and Broadway star, Natalie Gallo, will perform and The World Famous Harlem Globetrotters return with their high energy & amazing talents! Samba dancers and giant puppets will dance down Liberty Avenue along with towering Stilt Walkers. Plus, there will be performances from talented Pittsburgh Public School Students, A ’Capella Singing Sensations, Doubleshot, & much more!
Also, be on the lookout for your favorite mascots such as Steely McBeam, Iceburgh, the Pirate Parrot & Pierogies, adorable dog groups, local marching bands, beautifully decorated floats, Pittsburgh CLO Mini Stars, Steel City Ghostbusters & other performance groups like Karen Prunzik’s Broadway Performing Arts, Twirling & Pom World Champions The Modernettes, the Organization of Chinese Americans, fun and unique cars & huge balloons of Scooby Doo and the Nutcracker. All of this pageantry builds the anticipation of the arrival of the holiday seasons most sought after guest, Santa Claus. Come on down and stake out a great spot on Liberty Avenue, between 11th Street and 6th Street to watch the extravaganza in person!
If you’d rather enjoy the Parade at home, join David Johnson, Peggy Finnegan, Lisa Sylvester and Alby Oxenreiter when “The WPXI Holiday Parade Presented by Pittsburgh Public Schools” is broadcast LIVE on WPXI, Saturday, November 26th from 9:00-11:00 AM.
An encore presentation of the Parade will air on PCNC later that day from 7:30-9:30 PM. Additional replays are as follows: WPXI- 12/24 from 2:00-4:00 AM, 12/25 from 7:00-9:00 AM; PCNC- 12/10 from 7:30-9:30 PM, 12/25 from 7:00-9:00 AM, and MeTV-12/6 from 7:00-9:00 PM.
