The South Arts nonprofit art organization is hosting a juried art exhibition in the newly renovated Bethel Park Historic Schoolhouse building on October 5 and 6! This “Schoolhouse Show” will display and sell two-dimensional artworks from its members, from abstract impressionism to realism style pieces of various mediums. Members range from hobbyists to nationally-recognized artists living in the South Hills region of Pittsburgh. The art exhibition is free and open to the public from 10AM – 8PM on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6 on the first floor of the Bethel Park Historic Schoolhouse Building located at 2600 South Park Road. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, October 5 from 4PM – 6PM, where Best in Show, Judge’s Award, and Honorable Mentions will be awarded. Original paintings, prints, and fine art products will be available to purchase at this event! The South Arts nonprofit organization was founded in 1984 to bring education, cultural outreach, and networking opportunities to the community through art programs.
