FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – North Hills, Pittsburgh, April 1, 2013: A gorgeous, open, empty dance floor awaits Pittsburgh dancers this summer. Soon, it will be filled with students, all ages, breaking, locking and popping as they learn the latest hip-hop techniques from well-known instructor who has shared the stage with household names like Whiz Khalifa, Brutha, T-Pain, Flo Rida, Kelly Rowland, Ne-Yo and The Black Eyed Peas. Michael Lee is a hip-hop dancer, musician, producer and choreographer who has traveled the world imparting his artistic talents on dancers and audiences alike. His many impressive credits and experiences have brought him full-circle to his hometown of Pittsburgh.
And now, Pittsburgh has a new home for dancers to experience hip-hop dance from an instructor of Mr. Michael’s caliber. To help cultivate the hip-hop dance community in Pittsburgh, Bruckman School of Dance in the North Hills brought in Mr. Michael as their hip-hop instructor. An impressive Pittsburgh native, this dancer, musician and producer has performed on local stages like Heinz Hall, in addition to national stages.
In the studio located on Perry Highway, Michael Lee gets his dancers moving. His students enjoy inspiring, active dance numbers with one of Pittsburgh’s most talented choreographers. Michael treats all of his students with dignity and respect, but commands a high level of performance.
This unique opportunity to train with and learn from someone of Mr. Michael’s caliber is rare in our relatively small city of Pittsburgh. These classes are not only open to Bruckman School of Dance’s current students, but anyone interested in learning the techniques of hip hop-style dance. “If you don’t grow, you die,” says Mr. Michael, which speaks of his mission to constantly improve his dancer’s techniques via hard work and dedication, while also having fun. Students and parents alike love his high-energy teaching style while he strives to challenge dancers without overwhelming them.
Dance classes are proven to offer children benefits such as aerobic exercise, social skills development and increased confidence. Hip-hop classes add an additional element of fun style to dance classes and are becoming increasingly popular across the country. Now, Pittsburgh residents have an opportunity to learn hip-hop from one of the area’s most accomplished instructors.
