“Godfather” Inspired Dinner Theatre

Alphonse “Big Al” DeMedio is saying farewell to the family business and the gang’s all gathering to celebrate this retirement party like none other. Audience members become “family” the moment they walk in the door and what follows is a hilarious night of entertainment, great food and more as the audience helps to decide what happens next. Tickets are available to the audience participation comedic dinner theatre “Arrivederci, Al – Dinner with the Godfather” at 7 p.m. Saturday March 23 in the elegant Mount Vernon Restaurant, adjacent to the Kean Theatre, 5847 Meridian Road. “Arrivederci, Al – Dinner with the Godfather” is a comedic interactive dinner show, conceived and written by Pittsburgh improvisational actors, Michael E. Moats and Francis A. Veltri in the tradition of “Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding.” Performing in the show is Nicole Capezio-Watson of Deer Lakes, Briana Downs of Delmont, Howard Elson of Squirrel Hill, Dean Focareta of Squirrel Hill, Ian Livingston of Pittsburgh, Steve Lucey of Bloomfield, Michael E. Moats of Whitehall, Kate Murosky of Bethel Park, Ian Pisarcik of South Park, Adam Rauf of Bloomfield, and Stephen Santa of Beechview.

The sponsor of “Arrivederci, Al – Dinner with the Godfather” is UPMC Health Plan, the Academy sponsor of the Kean Theatre. Proceeds from the Kean Theatre benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund, which in 2012 alone provided more than $4.5 million to poor and low-income residents at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas and The Arbors at St. Barnabas.
