For Immediate Release – Pittsburgh, PA – 2013 marks the 5th Anniversary of the Pittsburgh Pudding Wrestling Massacre. 62 wrestlers, 580 pounds of pudding, 1 broken leg, 4 baby pools and 1 cracked tooth later, we have moved the night of mayhem to the Rex Theatre. On March 1st, 12 Pittsburgh ladies dressed in pro-wrestling costumes will battle it out to become the 2013 Pudding Wrestling Champion.
The Pudding Wrestling Massacre is an annual event hosted by the nightlife blog, YinzerParty.com. DJ Hank D will play theme music and an intermission dance party, Pittsburgh DJ Keebs will referee the event, and local celebrity judges including Lord Grunge will determine match winners. The rounds will be set up as a bracket system, so come ready to cheer on your favorite girl all the way to the end.
The past 4 years of the Pudding Wrestling Massacre have been a wild and fun ride. The event was featured on Wired.com, rapper Blowfly held an intermission show, and past judges include Sharon Needles, Randy Baumann, DJ Bonics, and the producers of Portlandia. The night brings together all walks of life from all areas of Pittsburgh, all in the name of fun!
This year there will be 50 VIP pre-sale tickets available at Machovy.com, which will guarantee entry and get you a free shirt, free koozie, and re-entry throughout the night. Illustrator Matt Gondek has designed a Pudding Massacre shirt which will be printed by Commonwealth Press and available for purchase at their store and at the event. The event starts at 10pm and doors are at 9pm. Tickets are available for $10 the night of the show and $3 PBRs and $4 Fireball Shots will be available until midnight.
