FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – January 28, 2013 – Horror Realm presents a special screening of the Charles Busch horror comedy “Psycho Beach Party” on February 20, 2013 at the Hollywood Theater in Dormont. Net proceeds of the event will benefit Shepherd Wellness Community, a safe, supportive community empowering people affected by HIV/AIDS to live with dignity.

Doors will open at 7 PM and the film will be shown at 8 PM. Activities before the screening will include:

- Limbo contest
- Ginchiest beach wear contest – male & female categories
- Vintage horror movie trailers
- Silent auction – cash, check & credit card accepted for payment
- 50/50 raffle
Psycho Beach Party is a 2000 horror comedy film based on the off-Broadway play written by Charles Busch (who also wrote the screenplay). The movie is a parody of 1950s psychodramas, 1960s beach movies and 1980s slasher films. The cast includes:
- Lauren Ambrose (Six Feet Under)
- Thomas Gibson (Dharma & Greg, Criminal Minds)
- Nicholas Brendon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
- Amy Adams (Enchanted, Trouble with the Curve)
- Beth Broderick (Sabrina the Teenage Witch)
- And Charles Busch as Captain Monica Stark
The Hollywood Theater is located at 1449 Potomac Avenue (15216). Free parking is available at metered spots on Potomac and surrounding streets or metered public lots on Espy and Glenmore Avenues. The theater is located less than two blocks from the Potomac Avenue light rail station.
