GIBSONIA, Pa. (Richland Twp.), July 9, 2012 – Maureen Weckerly, Speech Language Pathologist with St. Barnabas Rehabilitation, will lead a discussion titled “How to Handle Swallowing Problems” at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 25 in Hilltop Hall at The Village at St. Barnabas, 5850 Meridian Road.Her discussion will focus on Dysphagia – pain and/or difficulty swallowing including:

  • Causes, symptoms and signs of Dysphagia
  • Strategies for safe swallowing
  • Meal time tips

The presentation is part of St. Barnabas Medical Center’s monthly Doc’s Talk series, in which health care representatives share information with St. Barnabas residents and the public.
