FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mind Cure Records & I DIG PGH present
Pgh Vinyl Con (PVC) #2 at Pittsburgh Filmmakers
Saturday, April 28th 2012; 12-8 PM, $3 admission, ALL AGES
477 Melwood Ave. (Oakland), Pittsburgh, PA 15213

Pgh Vinyl Con (PVC) debuted in October 2011. The first event, which was organized in five weeks and presented in association with VIA’s New Music & Media Festival, attracted 250 attendees. Buyers traveled from Cleveland and Columbus, OH as well as a few adventurous collectors from as far away as New York City and Los Angeles. Most dealers were based in Pittsburgh, but a handful ventured from neighboring states like West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, parts of Ohio and even one from Atlanta, GA. The consensus was that the first Pgh Vinyl Con was a success and practically all of them are returning, in addition to a few new dealers.

The sophomore event, which is sponsored by The Iron City Brewing Co., is at Pittsburgh Filmmakers on Saturday, April 28th 2012. PVC is bringing you a one of a kind record party experience. It’s going to be dynamite daytime fun appropriate for all ages. Bring the kids along for their first record digging adventure. The event is accessible by public transportation and located exactly 1 mile from the University of Pittsburgh, 1.2 miles from Carnegie-Mellon University and 2.1 miles from Chatham University. All well within walking/bike riding distance from the venue. We’ve got …

– Records, records & MORE RECORDS!
– EVEN MORE out of town dealers than last time
– Of course all of your favorite local dealers
– LIVE performance by returning guest SPANKY WILSON (2-4 PM)
– Refreshments courtesy of IRON CITY BEER (w/ proper I.D. while supplies last)
– Music videos & films looping in the screening room

Inquire today if you’re interested in being a vendor. Email: pghvinylcon@gmail.com
Judging by the current responses, we’re already getting close to full capacity.

We’re building a bigger and better Pittsburgh record show that will attract buyers and sellers from outside of the city. We need your support. RSVP’s are helpful because numbers matter to those traveling long distances. Also, if you could take a second to visit the I DIG PGH YouTube channel and view our commercial for PVC #2, which features footage from our first event, that would be helpful as well. Thanks in advance for reading & RSVP’ing.

Sincerely,
Your friends at the PVC
Michael Seamans (Mind Cure Records)
& J. Malls (I DIG PGH)
