TeeRex and Cotton Factory open for Unblurred on Friday, May 4

Local screen printers open studio for vintage sale and local food on Friday, May 4.

PITTSBURGH, PA – April 25 – Vintage clothing and housewares plus never-before-seen tees combine for a perfect mix of old and new at Unblurred along Penn Ave on Friday, May 4. Attendees can add a unique flair to their warmer weather wardrobe with our irrationally affordable, hand-printed tees by local designers. New 2012 designs will be available, and all 2011 tees will be $10. Special guests will provide vintage clothing, housewares and home décor.

May 4th guests will include:

  • Shannon Merenstein – Satisfy your quirky cravings by searching through a treasure trove of one-of-a-kind vintage fashion nuggets. www.etsy.com/people/shoptheyards
  • Red Pop Shop – Specializing in vintage housewares and home decor with a few handmade goodies mixed in, Bess, Jason and Michael from Red Pop Shop believe vintage housewares should be used and admired in day-to-day living. They help you buy it cheap and use it well! www.redpopshop.etsy.com
  • Brassero Grill – Providing a variety of Mexican tacos and burritos served fresh from their trailer, Brassero Grill will set up shop at 5440 Penn Ave for the evening. Happy Cinco de Mayo! www.facebook.com/brasserogrill
  • 10% of sales on May 4 will be donated to the non-profit Hello Bully.
    Hello Bully will provide information about the benefits of Pit-Bull rescue and it’s positive effect on our community. You may also meet a furry friend looking for a forever home. TeeRex-designed and printed limited edition tees and totes will be for sale with a portion of the proceeds going to Hello Bully. These tees will be for sale on www.cottonfactory.com during the month of May. www.hellobully.org/

Along with these special guests, The Cotton Factory and TeeRex Syndicate will provide while-you-wait tees, and East End Brewery Beer. $5 will get you a brand new tee with one of the many transfer designs to choose from, pressed right before your eyes.

The Pittsburgh Tote Bag Project is always in need of new or gently used totes. Donations of tote bags, canned foods, hygiene products or pet goodies will be accepted. Anyone who donates will be entered to win a free tee from the shop. tote4pgh.blogspot.com/
