10th Annual Farm to Table Conference to Admit Seniors 65+ Free of Charge

For Immediate Release – Pittsburgh, PA, February 18, 2016 – The 10th Annual Farm to Table Conference returns Friday and Saturday March 18th and March 19th to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Downtown Pittsburgh. The Conference features exhibitors, speakers, a Local Food Tasting, as well as a Farm Fresh Breakfast and children’s activities. This year, the Conference will offer Senior attendees, aged 65 and up, the opportunity to attend the 2-day Conference at no cost.

“In a day and age where Seniors are leading full, active lifestyles, it’s crucial we focus on continued education for these guests and provide easy accessibility to local food and wellness programs” said Erin Hart, Organizer of Farm to Table Pittsburgh and Director of Health Benefit Services for American HealthCare Group. “Our focus on cooking real food and cooking at home is targeted for those interested in overall wellness as well as those interested in saving money. Both of these subjects are top-of-mind with many in our population who are aged 65+ and may be living on a fixed or limited income.”

This year, programming will take place on the main stage in the Exhibit Hall and will feature cooking demos, health & wellness talks, garden demos and over 150 vendors; farms, restaurants, health care professionals and more. In addition to food-based programming, the Conference focuses on overall wellness and will feature exhibitors and programming focusing on mind, body, and spirit. The Senior registration includes access to this programming in addition to access to all other Conference events, with the exception of the Friday Night Tasting, Farm Fresh Breakfast, and the Farm to Flask Mixology reception.
