AMPD Group Plans New Cultural District Venue, Social House Seven, to Offer Izakaya Style Asian Restaurant, Late Night Lounge, and Event Venue in former Bossa Nova Space

For Immediate Release – Pittsburgh, PA — The AMPD Group, leaders in providing Pittsburgh’s premier dining and entertainment destinations, is pleased to announce their newest venture:  Social House Seven, located at 123 Seventh Street in the Cultural District of Downtown Pittsburgh. The unique 7,300 square foot space is located in the new Aria Lofts where Bossa Nova Lounge was previously housed for 12 years.

Izakaya: a style of restaurant in Japan, known as an eating and drinking establishment serving shareable plates as well as variety of drinks and Sake.

Opening in Summer, the Izakaya Style Asian restaurant and lounge, will feature a custom built Robata Grill & Sushi Bar along with an expansive lunch and dinner menu of Shareable Pan-Asian Dishes ranging from Japanese, Thai, Korean, and Chinese Influences.

The restaurant will seat 175 guests with space for another 60 at the main bar and Robata & Sushi Bar.  A large central bar is the perfect gathering place for a pre-theater cocktail or late night drinks with friends. The Asian style décor will feature framed glass, wood trussing ceiling features, and hand carved twin laying Buddhas peering over the restaurant.

The Restaurant will also feature a 2,300 square foot Late Night Lounge and Event Space reminiscent of the former Bossa Nova, which can host receptions, fundraisers, and corporate events for up to 150 guests. The Lounge space can also serve as overflow to the restaurant on busy weekend evenings and will turn into a Vibrant Lounge environment at the conclusion of dinner service with Pittsburgh’s best DJ’s.
