Urban Spoon Selects BnD’z Burgerz And Dogz As Pittsburgh’s Top Fantastic Franks

For Immediate Release – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania – August 13, 2013

Online restaurant review site Urban Spoon released their list of the Top Forty Fantastic Franks in the United States to promote National Hot Dog Day, choosing BnD’z Burgerz and Dogz as Pittsburgh’s top location. Selection was based on a variety of criteria including the quantity of positive reviews, votes, website specific page views and coverage over the last year.

Twenty-five states were included in the list, highlighting regional specific offerings from metro areas such as Los Angeles, Denver, Atlanta, Chicago, Boston and New York. BnD’z owner, Doug Baros, was surprised and humbled by the mention.

“I was totally stunned to have BnD’z included in such a prestigious list, not to mention being chosen as Pittsburgh’s favorite location. Our first location has been open for just under a year and to be part of the country’s leading hot dog shops is just totally amazing! This honor is really due to the hard work and dedication of my managers, Scott Abbey and Chris Miller, as well as the consistent effort of the staff.”

Baros proceeded to credit Pittsburgh with being a city known for exclusive food options. “This city loves hot dogs, burgers and specialty sandwiches. I’m just pleased to be included in Pittsburgh’s traditional mix of unique and fun restaurants. Our customers really deserve all the credit. They’ve embraced us since the beginning and we couldn’t be successful without their patronage.”

Doug Baros is the owner and operator of BnD’z Burgerz and Dogz. Located at 4120 Brownsville Road in South Park and online at www.banddz.com. The restaurant is open seven days a week offering a wide variety of customized specialty hamburgers and hot dogs, as well as gluten-free and vegetarian options.
