About the Cranberry CUP:

The Cranberry CUP takes place August 2nd, 3rd and 4th in 2013.

In 2000, the Cranberry CUP was founded by Cathy Cortazzo as a way to bring the neighborhood together and raise money for charity. The once seven member softball game has grown to become an annual softball tournament and golf classic, raising over one million dollars for local residents who have experienced severe financial stress due to medical or other hardships through no fault of their own.

Each year a Cranberry Township family is selected as the beneficiary of the Cranberry CUP. This year, the 2013 Cranberry CUP is benefitting the Long Family. Cranberry native and 1992 Seneca Valley graduate, Kim Long, is a single parent of three: Ricky, Cody & Alexis and is currently being treated for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Kim was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in June 2012 and with the support of her family and community, continues her battle today.
