State Reps. Ed Gainey and Jake Wheatley to host 1st Annual Fundraiser for the Alliance for Police Accountability

For Immediate Release – Pittsburgh, PA (March 19th)—- On Saturday, March 23rd, State Representatives Ed Gainey (24th District) and the Honorable Jake Wheatley (19th District) are forging an alliance to host the 1st Annual Fundraiser for the Alliance for Police Accountability (APA).

APA has been a driving force in changing the dynamics of community and police relations in the city of Pittsburgh and surrounding areas since it’s founding in the wake of the brutal assault on Jordan Miles in January 2010. The mission of the APA is to bring the community, police and government officials to a working relationship.

“I am excited about an organization such as APA that works hard to improve community and police relations. Their work makes a difference and improves the City,” said Ed Gainey, State Representative of the 24th District.

This premiere event will take place at one of the City’s finest destinations, SAVOY Restaurant and Lounge and will feature an Open Bar, Spectacular Silent Auction, Butlered Hors ‘Dourves, Live Entertainment, and Dancing to follow!
