Kean Quest Semi-Finalists Announced for Youth Round 1

Breea Bonnett, 11, Natrona Heights, won the Audience Choice Award during the Youth Preliminary Round One of the 2013 Kean Quest Talent Search, formerly Kean Idol, on Sunday, Jan. 27 at the Kean Theatre, 5847 Meridian Road.  Bonnett performed “What are You Waiting For” by Natalie Grant.  She is a fifth grader at Grandview Upper Elementary School.  Trisha Pittman, WPXI-TV Traffic Anchor, was the emcee. Bonnett performed with 24 acts in the first round of the fundraising competition, which continues through April 5.  Based on scores from a panel of judges, Bonnett and 12 others from the Youth Preliminary Round One will move onto semi-final competition on Sunday, March 17.  The semi-finalists are:

The 2013 Kean Quest Talent Search benefits the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund, which in 2012 alone provided nearly $4.5 million to poor and low-income residents at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas and The Arbors at St Barnabas who otherwise would not be able to afford their care. Tickets are $10 and are available at the door.
