Mini’s Coffee: A Coffee Shop & Roastery in Smalltown, USA
With no coffee shop for at least 5 miles in any direction, the small town of Finleyville, PA really is a coffee dead zone. The prevailing belief is that residents don’t want “good coffee.”
But two young coffee lovers and residents of this rural town south of Pittsburgh think otherwise. “This assumption, that small towns have “small-minded” uncultured residents strikes us as nothing more than a bad stereotype that has been perpetuated for far too long.”
Annie Quinio and Kyle Lee Hufnagel recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to help open Mini’s Coffee: An Artisan Coffee Shop & Roastery in their hometown of Finleyville. If funded, the coffee shop will serve as the only one in town and plans to roast their coffee fresh daily at the shop.
“We believe that good coffee is appreciated everywhere, even if you live in a tiny town, you still deserve access to great coffee, and we are confident that if we brew it, there will be plenty of customers lining up to drink it.”
