FREE SEMINAR ON FALL PREVENTION
Program is part of St. Barnabas’ monthly Doc’s Talk series
GIBSONIA, Pa. (Richland Twp.), Sept. 11, 2012 – Laura Pierce, occupational therapist with St. Barnabas Rehabilitation and Home Care, will lead a discussion titled “Tips for Preventing Falls” at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25 in Hilltop Hall at The Village at St. Barnabas, 5850 Meridian Road.She will discuss and answer questions about:
- Safety guidelines for preventing falls in your home
- New approaches to performing daily living activities
- The importance of physical fitness for general safety
- How occupational therapy can help increase independence
The presentation is part of St. Barnabas Medical Center’s monthly Doc’s Talk series, in which health care representatives share information with St. Barnabas residents and the public.
