“Costumes for a Cause” Raising Funds for Pittsburgh’s Go Red for Women Campaign

Chelsea’s of New York.com of Pittsburgh is partnering with Diana Rua Media to host the 3rd annual “Costumes for a Cause” charity costume show and cocktail party. All proceeds benefit the Pittsburgh chapter of the American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” campaign.

“After my father passed away unexpectedly at age 56 from a massive heart attack, I realized just how pervasive heart disease is,” says Michele Garris of Chelsea’s of New York.com. “I’m taking action by promoting awareness to a younger generation through our fashion events.”

The non-profit event will be held at WHIM Station Square, located at 7 East Carson Street in Pittsburgh, PA on Friday, September 28, 2012. Cocktail party starts at 8:00pm, with the fashion show starting at 10:00pm. Guests must be at least 21 to attend.

Celebrity guest host will be Katarina Van Derham, international covergirl, actress, and St. Pauli Girl Beer Spokesmodel. In addition to a high energy costume show, this year’s event will include a pre-show cocktail party, hors d’oeuvres, decadent desserts, silent auction, and raffle prize giveaways. Over 35 models will grace the runway, showing the latest in upscale women’s costumes from Glamour House, Roma Costume,  J. Valentine and Starline.
