St. Barnabas Hosts Anniversary Party For Married Residents



St. Barnabas celebrates residents married 50 years and more

GIBSONIA, Pa. (Richland Twp.), June 5, 2012 – Seventy-eight, 78, couples who have been married 50 years and more will be honored during ceremonies on June 7 and June 15, 2012. The ceremony for 38 couples who are residents of The Village at St. Barnabas will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 7 in Hilltop Hall of The Village at St. Barnabas, 5850 Meridian Road, Richland Twp. The ceremony for 40 couples who are residents of The Woodlands at St. Barnabas will be at 1:30 on Friday, June 15 in the Grand Pavilion at The Woodlands, 100 Laurel Oak Drive, Butler County. Both ceremonies are for residents of the St. Barnabas Communities.

Officiating at the ceremonies will be Rev. Dr. Richard Morldge, Pastor Emeritus of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown. After the ceremonies the couples will be treated to anniversary receptions with wedding cake and champagne. Weather permitting, the reception for The Village residents will be held in the outdoor pavilion with entertainment by the band “Weekend Edition.” Entertainment will be provided by The Lou Pisani Orchestra during The Woodlands reception in the Grand Pavilion.

The couples represent a combined 4,711 years of marriage. The longest-married couple has been married 71 years. “Marriage is a commitment and those at the ceremony have been true to that commitment,” notes Pam Fickes, Recreation Director and coordinator of the party. “We will honor them through this journey they have made together.”
