St. Barnabas’ Doc’s Talk series is free and open to the community
GIBSONIA, Pa. (Richland Twp.), May 31, 2012 – Jennifer Antkowiak, KDKA television news anchor and founder of Jennifer Cares and Caregiver at Work, will present a discussion titled “Caring for the Caregiver” at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 6 in Hilltop Hall at The Village at St. Barnabas, 5850 Meridian Road, Gibsonia. Antkowiak will provide information to make life easier for individuals who are taking care of others. Her talk will cover:
- Learning to take care of you
- Tips for a healthier you
- How to make life easier
Antkowiak has spent most of her 20-year career as a television news anchor with Pittsburgh’s KDKA. Aside from anchoring KDKA’s weekday morning newscast she is the founder of Jennifer Cares, which provides information and products to make life easier for caregivers. Antkowiak also founded Caregiver at Work, a corporate wellness program aimed at creating a healthy, productive workplace by helping employees make self-care a priority.
Antkowiak’s presentation is part of St. Barnabas Medical Center’s monthly Doc’s Talk series, in which health care practitioners share information with St. Barnabas residents and the public.
