Obliquity of the Ecliptic is an album that reflects Christiane D’s eclectic styles of artistic expression and talent.  “The August Wilson fellowship gave me the chance to grow, focus on songwriting, experiment musically, whilst gaining recording and production skills. I made use of this opportunity to work with over twenty amazing Pittsburgh based musicians and three producers,” says Christiane. “I’ve been fortunate to be able to work with a variety of great musicians, in a variety of genres. Today, I’ve created a musical body of work built on these exploratory experiences.”

Christiane D is an artist that feels the constant pull of the tides within her melodies, the connectedness of nature in her lyrics, and the depth and creativity of her songwriting that resulted in a rock fusion record that integrates electrified guitars, powerful vocals, and prismatic blending of musical genres.
