GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY SET FOR ROBINSON TOWNSHIP POLICE STATION
The Township of Robinson announces a groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 11:00AM for the construction of a new Robinson Township Police Station. Ceremony will take place on the adjacent lot from the current Police Station, 1000 Church Hill Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
Robinson Township is breaking ground on a new 9,600 sq. ft. Police Station building. The Township’s Police Department has outgrown their current facility and has worked with The Hayes Design Group Architects and Remington Vernick Engineers to design a new building capable of supporting their services for the next 50 years. The building is located on a site adjacent to the current municipal complex. The facility will include a sally port with adjacent prisoner processing, a fitness room, locker rooms, offices, and a squad room. The project will also feature bullet-resistant windows, forced-entry-resistant doors, and a storm shelter capable of withstanding 250 mph wind speeds. The project is scheduled to be completed in August 2021.
